Quick update

Just wanted to post a few more pictures. Can't believe Thanksgiving is here in a few days! Time flies! We are quickly approching the 2 year mark from when we brought Quentin home. It is really astonishing to think how much our lives have changed in such a relatively short time! When we first met him, Quentin couldn't sit up on his own, was still on infant formula, couldn't crawl or get around at all-- he was just 6 months old. Now he's a very active toddler, soon to be a little boy, then a teenager than a grown man... ok, ok, I'm getting a little ahead of myself! It's amazing to me to think of all the things he does now. He runs and jumps, talks, eats "big people" food, laughs at jokes, recognizes people in person and in pictures and has even begun potty training. Time has whizzed by yet at the same time it's stood still in some ways. I honestly don't remember the "before-Quentin" days. It's such a foreign concept to think of life without him. Anyway, I'll save the nostalgia for now. Just a few cute things to mention before I sign off.
About a month ago, my parents went to Hawaii. We called them one afternoon while they were there and listened to my mom tell us all about the cool things they were doing, including swimming with sea turtles. Out of the blue, Quentin grabbed the phone from my hand and proclaimed as clear as day "I like turtles!!" It was so stinkin' cute! He went through a turtle phase for about 3 weeks until his new love took over-- Santa Claus! One day around Halloween we were at some store and, of course, they had all the Christmas stuff on display (yes, Christmas stuff in October. Highly obnoxious!). Quentin suddenly started saying "Santa! Santa!" and pointing at every single item with a Santa on it. Lately, he's been walking around the house cupping his hand around the side of his mouth, titlting his head up and yelling "Santa! Where are you?!" It's hilarious! Christmas this year outght to be fun :)

Well, here are a few quick pictures taken in the past couple of months. Enjoy!
